💥 Named their genre as primal-core, KUNTARI constantly experimented with primitive voices
producing animal mating calls with his trumpet mixed with a tons variation of Indonesia's tribal
rhythms. The music produced percussive primal sound along with dark ambients, a firm unit and
solid of two individuals with intense dynamic of heavy ancient beats. Their live performances create
an organic raw sonical untamed with feral approach.
After toured in Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia also played in LUCfest Festival, gave them positive
impact throughout Asia; recently KUNTARI finished their 12 days 12 gigs in Japan and Fuji & Sun
Festival leaves a huge monumental footmark in overseas countries. KUNTARI album in 2021 has
chosen as Best Album of the Year by Jakarta Post and 2nd Best Album of the Year by Vice in 2022.
KUNTARI has collaborated with many mix-genre musicians such as Rully Shabara, Arthur
Hnatek, Morgue Vanguard, Jonas Engel, Dirk Wachtelaer, Luigi Monteanni, Yuji Ishihara and Yasushi
Yoshida.
💥 Nicolas Gaunin is the alter ego of Nicola Sanguin, part of the vibrant experimental music scene around Padua, and his solo electronic project, a playful cosmic mash-up that uses the rhythms of traditional African percussion groups and skews them slightly to create unsettling, off-kilter grooves. After two cassettes and a compilation LP, Hulahula Kāne (2021, Moon Glyph), Gaunin’s first full length, is a fully-realized trek into bizarre, uninhabited terrain.
